Jessica has had an interest in working with children since her teenage years. Her high school offered child development classes and started a pre-school program. In these classes, she learned how to create lesson plans, play and gain the attention of a child, and care for that child. Through this experience, Jessica discovered she loved to work with children. After graduating high school she immediately pursued a job in childcare, working at a daycare that helped her become certified as a teacher’s assistant and infant lead teacher. This daycare ended up closing to help expand the autism clinic it was connected to, and she was offered a job to work as a behavior therapist at this clinic. Jessica accepted the position and began her journey working with children with autism. She instantly fell in love with this field and ABA. She now has 3 years of ABA experience, has grown to be a mentor, an RBT, is QBS certified, and, lastly, a lead RBT while in this field. Jessica has learned so much from her peers, supervisors, and most importantly her clients. She has happily been with GBC aba for a year now working directly with clients.
GBC aba has helped further her career in this field. Jessica is also the scheduling assistant and works alongside the scheduling manager. She likes to complete paperwork, tasks, and organize, so this role immediately interested her.
Outside of GBC aba, she loves to spend time with her family, and going camping has become one of her favorite activities!
