Stephanie’s research interests include approaches to increasing generalization of skills; alternative and augmentative forms of communication; clinical implementation of empirically-validated treatment techniques; Organizational Behavior Management (OBM); ABA for health and fitness; behavioral gerontology. She has presented her research at the annual international professional conference for ABA, and is continually looking for more speaking, presenting, and training opportunities.
Stephanie is a professional member of Applied Behavior Analysis International (ABAI), the ABA Health Sports and Fitness Special Interest Group (SIG), the Behavioral Gerontology SIG, and the OBM Network. Through her education and training she has acquired a solid foundation in advocacy, outreach, community organizing, and administration.
The founder of GBC aba, Stephanie is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst specializing in the treatment of children and adults with autism and developmental disabilities. She has been working with this population since 1999, and has professional experience as a behavior analyst, special educator, and behavioral consultant in: school settings, in-home programs, adult day programs, and residential programs. Stephanie received her master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
In March 2013, she founded GBC aba to meet the growing need for quality ABA services, with the intention to branch out into other areas where ABA can be used. She is passionate about helping transform the lives of her clients and their families through a progressive approach to ABA. Her current work within GBC aba focuses on the development of innovative programs and new service-offerings for children and adults with autism and other developmental needs, as well as infants at risk for developmental delays.
