helping transform lives

Gorbold Behavioral Consulting, Inc.

Danika is also a member of various professional organizations, such as Applied Behavior Analysis International (ABAI), BAAM, and Mid-American Association for Behavior Analysis (MAABA). Through various opportunities, Danika became very proficient in several ABA-based approaches to education, such as direct instruction (i.e., “Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons” and “Language for Learning”) and precision teaching fluency-based programs (i.e., The Morningside Math Model). Recently, she has also taken an interest in Organizational Behavior Management (OBM), and has developed a data collection system for employees of Gorbold Behavioral Consulting (GBC) to self-monitor their behavior at work. These data are tied to incentives, allowing for performance-based raises and promotions. Through her experience, Danika has become a passionate Behavior Analyst who is dedicated to applying basic ABA principles in the everyday lives of individuals, as well as influencing the workplace. She thrives off the impact that she makes on various children’s educational experiences, and she is excited to continue exploring the effect that OBM research can have on productivity in various organizations.

Danika is a graduate of The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She acquired an undergraduate degree in Neuroscience and Psychology at Central Michigan University in 2012. During her undergraduate career, Danika had the opportunity to utilize an ABA-based educational tool while tutoring elementary school students. She also conducted independent single-subject research analyzing the effect of circadian rhythms and sleep routines on sleep patterns in four college students, which she presented at the Behavior Analysis Association of Michigan (BAAM) Convention in February 2012. It was at this point that Danika saw the effect that ABA can have on individuals in their everyday life, and this drove her to pursue higher-level education in the field.
