Cheryl has experience in conducting ABLLS assessments, skill acquisition programs, and case management. She has experience working with children, adults, and staff. Her research interests include using ABA techniques for measuring emotions, thoughts, and feelings, and mindfulness procedures. She plans to focus on the use of positive behavioral strategies and function-based procedures in her practice.
Cheryl is a student at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She is working on her Masters of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and coursework for a Licensed Professional Counselor. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology in 2007. Cheryl has worked in various capacities in the autism and intellectual disabilities community. She has previously worked as a Direct Support Professional for children with Autism and as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional for adults with intellectual disabilities. Her experiences working with these populations are what garnered her interest in ABA.
